Adolphe Merkle Institute alum Baptiste Monney has received the University of Fribourg’s 2022 Thürler-Heeb Grant. This grant is awarded by the Faculty of Science and Medicine to junior researchers to assist them in the early stages of their career.

Baptiste, who completed his PhD on “Photo-patternable, Mechanically Adaptive Polymers for Neural Interfaces” in 2021, was a member of Prof. Christoph Weder’s Polymer Chemistry and Materials group. He graduated from the University of Fribourg with a Bachelor in Chemistry and a Master in Organic and Polymer Chemistry, before joining AMI in 2017 to work on stimuli-responsive, mechanically-adaptive polymer networks.
