AMI alumna appointed head of Agroscope
Adolphe Merkle Institute alumna Dr. Corinne Jud Khan has been appointed as the new head of Agroscope. A member of AMI’s Scientific Advisory Board, she will take up her new position at Switzerland's federal research institute for agriculture and food science in March next year, overseeing around 1,100 staff.
Jud Khan has been a member of Agroscope's executive board since 2017, heading the Methods Development and Analytics division. Prior to this role, she led feed analysis departments at Agroscope's predecessor institutions and served on various institutional leadership teams.
Her academic journey began with a biochemistry doctorate from the University of Fribourg in 2009, for which she received the prestigious Chorafas Prize. During her doctoral work, she researched circadian rhythms with a focus on "The influence of light on the circadian clock of mice and men".
Following her PhD, Jud Khan spent three years at the Adolphe Merkle Institute working in the Soft Nanosciences and BioNanomaterials research groups, investigating structural properties of eye lens proteins and developing novel cell culture models.
