Julien Sautaux is currently a PhD student in Prof. Christoph Weder's research group in the Adolphe Merkle Institute at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland.

Julien graduated from the School of Engineering at Fribourg with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. He was awarded a Master of Science in Molecular and Biological Chemistry in 2015 from the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL), with a focus on organic synthesis, polymer chemistry, and material science. Funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation, his project focuses on the preparation and characterization of supramolecular polymer materials that employ more than one type of non-covalent interaction. His aim is to create multi-stimuli responsive materials.
