Aris is a Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher (ESR) and part of the “PlaMatSu” project, an Innovative Training Network (ITN) funded by the European Commission’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions. He is currently working under the supervision of Prof. Christoph Weder and Dr. Justin Zoppe at the Polymer Chemistry and Materials group at the Adolphe Merkle Institute of the University of Fribourg.
Aris graduated from the National Technical University of Athens on 2015 receiving his chemical engineering degree with honors. His project focuses on the preparation and characterization of bio-inspired materials and more specifically polymer nanocomposites incorporating cellulose nanocrystals and other cellulose-based fillers. His aim is to study the interaction of these composites with water and other solutes.
